Join us for an inclusive community lunch and a relaxed afternoon of creative activities. Choose from a range of upcycling activities, learn something new, and bring along some pre-loved clothes for our clothing swap.

All activities are family-friendly, beginner-friendly and self-guided, so you can work at your own pace. No experience is needed!

Activities include:

• 🎨 Fabric painting – BYO clothes or bags, or find one in the clothes swap
• 🧵 Sew & repair – BYO clothes to repair or mend
• 🐞 Make your own bug hotel - materials provided
• 🫘 Upcycling with hessian bags – materials provided
• 🛍️ No-sew t-shirt bag - BYO shirt, or find one in the clothes swap

You'll also have the chance to meet and chat with your local Greens representatives, including:

• Isabella Do – local ward Councillor
• Matthew Kirwan – South-Eastern Metropolitan Lead Candidate

There will be a delicious vegan-friendly smorgasbord to enjoy. If you can, please bring your own mug to help reduce waste.

You’re welcome to drop in anytime or stay for the whole workshop. When you arrive, don’t forget to grab a ticket for our lucky door prizes!

We hope you’ll leave with: a new skill or two, something you’ve made or given a new life, some new connections in your local community, and some inspiration to reduce textile waste in everyday life.

Children are very welcome. Children under 10 must be supervised by an adult.

If you’re bringing children, we ask that you please leave a note in the comments when registering, as we’re unable to register children separately through the event form.

Registrations encouraged so enough food and supplies are available on the day.

• Public transport: Please check the PTV journey planner for the best option. Bus routes 816, 828, 902 and 709 are available nearby.
• Car: On-site and off-street parking are available.
• Cycling: Bike racks are available in front of the building.
