People in the North and West of Melbourne are angry about the Labor government's fast tracking of AI data centres.

Labor has responded with an expectations and policy statement to be legislated after the elections. The goal of the Labor government is to buy social licence for data centres. They are paving the way for AI data centres across the north and west of Melbourne. They will pay a price at the election in November.

Who will be the beneficiaries of their decline? Will it be the Liberals and One Nation or will it be the Greens and an assortment of progressives on the left. 

Our letterboxing day of action is focused on appealing to the people concerned about the Plumpton Data Centre. The best way to stop the Data Centre is to vote Greens.

• Our Greens candidate for Western Metro spearheaded the campaign by calling the Sydenham Town Hall meeting.

• Our Greens MP for Western Victoria, Sarah Mansfield, has been leading the charge in parliament and publicly.

• Our senator, Sarah Hansen Young is chairing the committee that is giving voice to our concerns.

Electing Greens will shift the balance of forces against data centres. 

The letterbox campaign around Plumpton and another Data Centre in Cobblebank, where the anger is red hot, is aimed at talking to affected people and asking for their assistance in the coming election.

There are two locations on the same day and time covering the upper house seats of Western Victoria (Melton) and Western Metropolitan (Sydenham). You can opt to help out in either one. We are appealing to all Greens members and supporters to help us in an area where we not had a big presence.
