Join the Campaign for a Tarneit Hospital

You are warmly invited to our Tarneit Hospital Campaign Meeting.

  • Friday, 21 August 2026, 7:00 PM
  • Tarneit Community Learning Centre, 150 SunsetView Blvd, Tarneit

Why is this campaign important?

Wyndham is one of Victoria’s fastest-growing communities, yet our health infrastructure has not kept pace with population growth.

Wyndham has only 0.88 public hospital beds per 1,000 residents, compared with the Victorian average of 2.23 public hospital beds per 1,000 residents. That means Wyndham has less than half the public hospital beds per person compared with the state average.

Werribee Mercy Hospital is under increasing pressure, while residents across Tarneit, Hoppers Crossing, Truganina, Wyndham Vale, Werribee and neighbouring suburbs face long waits and lengthy travel times for emergency care.

People in our community have shared experiences of waiting 10, 16 and even 24 hours for emergency treatment. We cannot accept this as the future of healthcare in our growing community.

Tarneit Hospital by 2030 would help bring emergency, maternity, specialist and other essential healthcare services closer to home and reduce pressure on existing hospitals.

Join us to take the next step!

Come along and help us build a strong community campaign for fair healthcare and a Tarneit Hospital by 2030.

Our community is growing. Our healthcare must grow with it.

Together, we can make Tarneit Hospital a reality.
